Normal looking menu
Once seated you will be given the menu and please be prepared to see big pricey tags on the menu. Haha yes, the price is really shocking and might just crunch your stomach smaller even before you eat. However the taste of the food is worth the price really. And according to my dad's friend who often the japanese restaurants, its considered cheap O.o!!!
Look at the amount of meat offered for that price!
Well, I didn't went there just with my family. My dad's friend's family (woah such a long description!) was with us too and thus explains the little and unprofessional photos taken. Haha I didn't really get the chance to grab the food to take a picture first because as soon the food came we all wanted to dig in! Everyone was hungry ma.......anyway the first dish came and I must say I am impressed with their presentation.
Sashimi....Yum!
The first dish was raw salmons and they actually garnished the sashimi with real flowers and it looked almost too pretty to eat! I didn't expect them to be so detailed and seriously its impressive. The salmon was fresh and tasty, nice!
Yummy salad!
The salad came after the salmon and thou it may look unappetizing and normal in the pictures, it is really very delicious. At first I thought it was just any ordinary salad with some dressing but let me tell you, the sauce for this baby is mouth watering......and keeps you wanting for more!! Really good!!
California handroll and soft shell crab roll
Next came the california handroll (the one on the left) and the soft shell crab roll (the one on the right) Ok, honestly I don't remember if the soft shell crab sushi is called a roll but whatever! Both of them tasted good and at first I thought the california handroll would taste blend, but I was proven really wrong and it had a very distinct delicious taste to it!
Fried toufu
After that came the fried toufu and I usually ain't a fan of toufu cos it always taste blend. However the sauce for this dish was simply irresistible, and its coated in a crispy flour......simply good! And they took time to garnish it, which made it interesting too!
Now the main star in Daidomon is actually their wagyu beef. Wagyu beef if I am not mistaken are meat from cows who are fed with liquor. So they are said to be softer and tastier and I can testify to that! They served us the raw meat and we had to grill them ourselves on these.....
Meat griller......wahaha!
They used charcoal to burn the meats and boy are they really tasty!! Very tender and juicy, and the sauce they used to marinate it was simply out of this world. After eating a piece of it believe me, you would be craving for more!
Wagyu Beef
We ordered a set meal so there was free sup, rice, and it came with another dish of raw seafood for us to grill as well. The sup and seafood was alright, and on the seafood platter we had salmon, cuttlefish, and........this......

Raw Scallops!
Raw Scallops!!! Now how often do you see that?! And not just one piece but four pieces! And the best part was the others didn't really fancy it so I had the chance to savour two of these scallops. Yum, yum!
After eating our platter of beef, we were not satisfied. We wanted more and so we ordered another plate of beef, but this time we ordered the australian beef as well and its not too bad. It tasted good too!! Tender and juicy.....

Australian Beef
Finishing the beef wasn't the last as we were served fruits after our meal. I can say it's a very satisfying meal and seriously worth trying because the beef is exceptionally good. Thank God I can have a chance to savour such delicacies and I do wonder when will be the next time I can go there again! Hehe....
And last but not least, we were treated to some dessert at alexis to finish off the day. Man, all I can say about the dinner that night was I was truly satisfied, and happy!!

Hmm.. it's near to my parent's place and I used to go to Great Estern Mall and have never noticed that. However, looking at the price here... kkhmm... They have buffet which cost RM68++, is that true? I may want to bring the whole family of 6 adults and 1 kid there. But I think I need to call them up. Hmm... (68x6+10)x1.15 = RM480.70! Wow... hmm... guess I might as well go with my husband will do. :(
Hello winnie. I am sorry if I replied you late as I am really not aware I was linked to the Daidomon website.
Anyway I think you really should try it. We have brought many people there and none have expressed regrets but wanting a return trip to the restaurant!
It is reasonable to me, as you will be served really good quality food at reasonable price, really it's better than Jogoya if you ask me.
well i was there yesterday with my girlfriend to try it out as they were having 50% discount. we were quite disappointed as the tempura prawns were no where to be found, and not found too was 3 nice juicy prawns dish which were only available for ala-carte but the picture was included in the buffet advertisement. when i ask about the tempura prawns the lady in the reception counter was quite rude, she said it was there and finished. as we were one of the first customer to reach there she said that we didn't see it. verdict for me is not going there again
31/5/09...My family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children age 3,7,8 & 11yrs) had buffet lunch today at Daidomon at Great Eastern Mall. They are having promotion at RM39.90++ for adults and RM21.90++ for children. But when we made payment, they charged my 8yrs and 11yrs old kids for adult price! We not only felt cheated on this but also because the food served was not good nor anything near to as shown on advertisement. There were limitations like we were only allowed one serving of oysters and scallops per table and they looked so miserable! The so called non-stick BBQ plate were all covered with black residue (carbon) after a short while of BBQing on it. Worst of all we all felt so thirsty for the rest of the day. It was definately not worth and it'll be our first and last time there and we shall never recommend it to others too.

My friends took me to Daidomon at GE Mall for buffet lunch. The entrance was impressive but once inside my heart felt dismayed as there were only a small display section of food which was considered very little (advertisment said more than 100 varieties). And these were all ordinary fried food, fried rice, fried noodle and meehon, tempura veg (no tempura prawns in sight)and also white rice to name a few. For BBQ food, we have to place order and the variety is also limited and not tasty. The charcoal BBQ plate is dirty after a while and the food were covered with black carbon. How to eat? They only served cordial drinks, mocha and hot tea and also a few types of ordinary ice-cream. It was a great dissapointment and no satisfaction as i can say. And it's definately not worth the money paid.
